2019 February 23, Grooming Report;

We (obviously) are not what one would call in the vernacular, “social media savvy” so I apologize for the hackneyed delivery.  However, we are going to yet again thank the folks working on the trails.  None of them are out calling their own number but rather I had to pull these names like a bad dentist pulls teeth. So, after much cajoling I was able to tease out the following names.

Tom Asmus, Jeremy Steele, Bob Marlor, Tim Neuschwander, Dan Jahnke, Mike Stoolmiller, Dave Buhl, Kelly Laakso, Wally Pearson Bob Hendrickson, Ken Davenport and Mike Sauer  and the person that sent me the text called him/her self, “myself”.  Please tell me if you were missed on this list or if you know the mysterious “myself”.

I know there were dozens of snow in the face and down the neck events,  2  knee injuries and several bloody faces, along with other minor injuries, but the trail is now opened up and we will be skiing on Bombi groomed trails today.

Please thank these folks and admire the pictures below.  I should add, I need a similar list for the Big Bay Pathway, Saux Head, South Trails and North Trails snow bike trails.  You all deserve a big thanks and we will all enjoy your efforts today.

I would add,  you are likely both are happy  we have not junked up the pages of the grooming report with sponsors and pop up messages (but if junking it up would help pay for grooming I would be all about it).  In any case, if you have not done so, please renew your membership.  There are K markers available. Your name and favorite picture can be here too.

New pictures from anyone will be appreciated.  I really mean this.  I agonize missing some Trail Builders.

Forestville Real Grooming Report: Andy Bombi groomed and tracked the Noque from the ponds to 510, Animoosh, Connections,  Chiwaji bypass, Mukwa, Migizi, Boozhoo and Gookookoo. Bagwaji was too soft had a hard time machine packing and rolling it so we will have to let it set up before Bombi later in the weekend.

As always, your feedback is appreciated via reply to this email or to FB.    Send in pictures and you too can get your K marker moved to the front of the line.  See the Nordic skiing FB page https://www.facebook.com/NTNNordic/

Saux Head: John rolled the trail yesterday and it is setting up today.

Tim is working at Bay Cliff this weekend so Saturday morning would be the only time he could get to groom, but with the major snow coming Saturday night and Sunday we will save the fossil fuel for after yet another major snow event.   It is rolled so skate skiing will be good but soft and classic skiers will get to work on their out of track technique (remember, I am a “glass is over flowing regardless the amount of water it contains).

 Fit Strip: Groomed and track set 2/21/19

Big Bay Pathway:  The Big Bay Pathway including Meditation, Bear Mountain and Hidden Grin are all groomed, tracked and in excellent condition.  The Ridgeline Loop is not groomed, but a gorgeous back country ski.

South Snow Bike Trails: East side of Co Rd 553, Main, Enchantment, Greywalls are all groomed. It is snowing in a.m., 2-3psi system wide. Upper west side softest, east side firmest.

Foot traffic please consider snow shoes

North Trails: The North Trail scenic loop of The Pines-Penstock-BLP Rocks were groomed, 4-5 psi should provide good ride. Rest of North Trails 3-4 psi.

.Of course you can also post your own information on the FB page and you are encouraged to do so. Here is the link:
