Forestville: Yesterday’s warm weather and thin base has groomers parked today. Coverage is still good but trails may be a bit icy today.
Fit Strip: The Fit Strip was roll packed the week of new years but is still very thin. Neil says rock skis are needed if you go out. Think snow.
Big Bay Pathway: Meditation and Hidden Grin was groomed on 1/2/21. Track set and trail is in good condition even with the lack of snow. Best Mountain and Ridgeline will be closed for 2021.
Saux Head: All trails were skate lane groomed on the 1st.

North Trails Grooming:
Late Sunday night we groomed to clean up ruts and smooth the trails on the following:
Basin Loop (Silver Lead, Collinsville, BLP Rocks, Blue Heron, Upper Blue Heron) and the Forestville Trails (Midnight Snack, Ramblin Man & Wildcat)
Coverage is thin with exposed rocks and roots, especially at lower elevations Use caution on BLP Rocks as there are a couple of icy areas.
South Trails Grooming:
South Trails were groomed Sunday.
Mt. Marquette loop, Main loop, Enchantment loop, and Old Camp Ridge……OCR still needs some work but is ridable.
Also groomed Eh-line but its not going to be ridable for a bit yet.

Watch out for the ice on the bottom of Mt. Marquette loop (aka Jeep Trail). We sanded it the best we could, but its still going to be slick.”
WTLGR: One agonizes over plans on such days. One camp holds you should ski when it is less than ideal in order to appreciate the good days. You know, the, “you have to ride a cheep bike to appreciate a good one” approach. There are some that will get that sock drawer in order per the great grooming report writer Asop’s , “grasshopper and ants ” parable. The great grooming report writer Aristotle held there was a Golden Mean we should attain so perhaps it is time to pull out the fat bike. I know it doesn’t like when I anthropomorphize but it has been looking rather forlorn of late. I gave up aerosol cheese for the New Year so the couch isn’t looking that good. Besides Ever the pragmatist, I am leaning towards whatever will minimize misery experienced on the Saturday before the last Monday in January. These are tough decisions for which I need help (some say, professional help). It will be a game time call but I’m sure I’ll see you out there,
