The Dual Slalom event brings head-to-head individual elimination racing to the Marquette.
Racers will take an initial timed run down the dual slalom course. Their time will be used to ‘seed’ them into a position on a bracket (think NCAA tournament).
They will match up against their opponent over 2 head to head runs, one on each lane of the course with the winner (based on the fastest combined time of the 2 runs) advancing to the next round.
The Youth Races
- Competitive Youth Dual Slalom for youth aged 8-16 years old – Max of 16 Participants total. There will be a podium for girls and boys.
- Non-Competitive Youth Dual Slalom for those that want to try out the course with a single, timed run. This will be ideal for younger kids on strider bikes or those that have never raced on the course before. The gate will be dropped during this race.**New for 2025 – this race will be done head-to-head. There will be an awards ceremony following the race, but no podium.
The Adult Race
- Max of 32 Participants in each women’s and men’s.
