Equipment Is Available During Snow Season to Rent at our Forestville Trailhead! Nordic Skis, Snowshoes, and Fat Bikes!
The NTN Forestville Trailhead Chalet has a wide selection of rental equipment to get outside including nordic skis (both classic and skate), snowshoes (youth and adult), and fat bikes. Equipment rentals are by the day (rental is for 24 hours) or can be rented for multiple days with a valid credit card. We recommend arriving early in the day for best selection. All rentals are first-come, first-served. We do not take reservations for equipment.
Forestville Chalet Trail Host Hours:
Forestville Chalet is No Longer Staffed for the 2022-23. It’s been a great season. Thanks to our Trail Hosts for all their work!
Rentals must be picked up and returned during open hours. Please do NOT leave equipment outside as you are responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment in your possession.
Equipment Rental Fees (Available When Hosts On Duty)
Adult Ski Package – Skate and Classic Available: $25 1-day, $40 3-day, $75 7-day
Junior (11-17) Ski Package: No charge 1-day, $15 3-day, $25 7-day
Child (10 & under) Ski Package: No charge 1-day, $15 3-day, $25 7-day
Adult Snowshoes: $20 1-day, $30 3-day, $50 7-day
Child/Junior Snowshoes: No charge 1-day, $15 3-day, $25 7-day.
Fat Bike (includes helmet): $50 per day or $250 7-day
Skijor Harness Set-Up for You and Your Dog: $5 per day
*Current NMU students enjoy free 1-day rentals thanks to the NMU-NTN Partnership. Bring your current NMU ID. If you are an NMU student, you can also rent NTN fat bikes and classic ski packages at the NMU Outdoor Rec Center and NTN fat bikes at the FitZone on campus.
**NTN Members receive a $5 discount on ski and snowshoe rentals.
