2019 March 8, Grooming Report;
In any case, if you have not done so, please renew your membership. There are K markers available. Your name and favorite picture can be here too.
New pictures from anyone will be appreciated. I really mean this. I agonize missing some Trail Builders.
Forestville Real Grooming Report: Last night Karl groomed. He attempted to set track but the cold dry snow kept it from forming a decent track so the old Bombi tracks are left in place on most trails. He went on to clean the skate lanes on Animoosh and the connectors, and the Noque to 17. Tonight Andy plans to set a new track a Bombi run to 510!
Yesterday Joe Skied to 510 and reported more wolf tracks than ski tracks between second bridge and 510. They are elusive but keep your eye out. We are fortunate to have groomed back country skiing with such critters around.

As always, your feedback is appreciated via reply to this email or to FB. Send in pictures and you too can get your K marker moved to the front of the line. See the Nordic skiing FB page https://www.facebook.com/NTNNordic/
Saux Head: Packed and rolled the Wilson Creek Loop Wednesday. Tim thanks the three adventurous snow shoers and lone classic skier who broke trail on the loop this past weekend. It helped immensely. He didn’t get stuck on his first run through on the trail in packing it.
Tim’s plan for yesterday was to groom and set track on the Peep O Day Loop and the entire Race Loop. Today he plans to groom and set track on the Wilson Creek Loop.
Fit Strip: Trail groomed night of 3/4/19
Big Bay Pathway: The trails are open and groomed. Meditation, Bear Mountain and Hidden Grin are all in excellent condition!
South Snow Bike Trails: East side of 553 is groomed and open (Jeep, Shirley’s, Chapel and Granite Point). Trails are firming up. Cyclists are encouraged to study their tracks and adjust tire pressure accordingly.
Cary reported as of yesterday snow bike South trails are in good shape with only occasional groove from overinflated tire, 6 lbs pressure, on all trails east of 553 and at least on Benson, Enchantment, and Smiley. I have heard but, but do not have direct knowledge, that Greywalls (or is it Graywalls, Grey Walls, or Gray Walls?) is sketchy.
Foot traffic in this deep soft snow ruins it for the people paying to have groomed snow bike trails. If you know any trail walkers encourage them to use snow shoes.
North Trails:
Silver Lead, Collinsville, The Pines, Penstock, Upper and Lower Blue Heron are groomed again and damages are repaired.
Please study your tracks. Too high a PSI will do as much damage as foot traffic. Soft trails need lower PSI.
Foot traffic please use snowshoes on Silver Lead, Collinsville and Blue Heron.
Of course you can also post your own information on the FB page and you are encouraged to do so. Here is the link:
