December 11, 2018 Grooming Report;
Thank you Trail Builders: Today’s report is brought to you by the cute dogs that take Bud and
Marilyn Hart skiing. The Hart’s dogs are feted at the 15k mark of the Noque’. Without folks like Bud and Marilyn we would not be able to enjoy the great skiing we have come to expect. So, if you see these cute dogs please pat them on the head and say thanks to Bud and Marilyn. If you have not done so, please renew your membership.
Forestville Real Grooming Report: This morning Ken is out grooming skate lanes on the Noque’ to the pines, Animoosh, Chiwaji bypass, Muckwa, and Migizi. Andy is rolling up to 510 and clearing saplings and branches
As always, your feedback is appreciated. Send in pictures and you too can get your K marker moved to the front of the line.
Saux Head: Saturday Tim and John groomed and tracked the entire system groomed and track set. Skiing is excellent.
Fit Strip: Trails were groomed Thursday and are in very good shape.
Big Bay Pathway: Too little snow in the woods so trails are closed. The Big Bay Trails are groomed for classic skiing and are through the rugged hills south of Big Bay. They are spectacular but need ample snow to cover the rugged terrain. We groom as weather permits so think cold and snow. Trails are just off Co Rd 550 in Big Bay.
Way Too Long Grooming Report: I don’t care what it is or how small it sounds, when it hurts it is like your entire being’s sole purpose is to remind you your (fill in the blank) hurts. I don’t care if it is a tooth ache or ingrown toe nail; life is changed. I had thought I was sooo smart. I solved my too-small-toe-box-boot problem by removing the foot bed liner. It gave me enough room house my feet and a thin sock. Now my metatarsal is getting its revenge. As both readers know, I got new skis this year and today I was going to gas on about my great new bindings but nooo! I have to start lobbying for new boots. I have long suspected the literary critic on Spruce Street and Santa Clause are one in the same person. Of course I can’t get either one to read the grooming report so fat chance I’ll be getting new boots under the tree unless one of you can slip a bug in her ear.
I’ll see you out there. I’ll be either the one limping or the one with the new boots.
