2019 January 15, Grooming Report;
Thank you Trail Builders:
Today’s report is brought to you by Tom and Kathy Leone. Without folks like Tom and Kathy we would not be able to enjoy the great skiing we have come to expect. So, if you see them, say thanks.
If you have not done so, please renew your membership.
ALSO, there are K markers available. YOUR NAME AND FAVORITE PICTURE COULD BE HERE!
Forestville Real Grooming Report: Ken is out with the Ginzu grooming the skate lanes on Animoosh, the connectors and Bagwaji. Doug is taking Tom on a practice run with the Bombi 160 to make sure it is running well prior to the up coming Noquemanon Ski Marathon and will groom the Noque’ to the pines loop and Chiwaji bypass

Saux Head: Trails were rolled Friday and track set Saturday
Last grooming: Groomed & Tracked 1/12/19
Fit Strip: All trails groomed and tracked Thursday
Last grooming: Groomed & Tracked 1/10/19
Big Bay Pathway: Trails are now well covered and the Big Bay team will be out grooming getting trails ready as soon as possible.
Snow Bike Trails:
South Trails: Incredible amount of fat bike trails available right now on the south side.
Mike captured this shadow shot on Mt Marquette.
The normal SBR is wide fast and smooth.
The narrow rokon groomed single track is really nice but has a ton of foot traffic damage. We hope to try to fix that today.
The extreme DH panked trails are really coming around. They are not for the faint of heart.
7-10 psi on the SBR.
5-7 psi on single track.
3-5 psi on the panked trails.
North Trails: All traditionally groomed since last snow and cold temps have all trails very nice. Recommend 7 lb psi. The intersection of Blue Heron and Penstock is often slippery so a detour is groomed for bikers without studs.
Of course you can also post your own information on the FB page and you are encouraged to do so. Here is the link:

Too Long Too Read Grooming Report: I did manage to update a few of my K marker pictures over the weekend. As I was bemoaning the difficulty of taking pictures in the post-modern world. Then I remembered my dark room in the basement and all the time spent rubbing nose grease on negatives, the cost of paper, chemicals and drying time just to find I missed a hair on the enlarger lens. I administered myself a dope slap and skied on to the next K marker.
Remember, if you have a better picture, please do send it in.
