2019 February 2, Grooming Report;

Thank you Trail Builders:

Today’s report is brought to you Nancy Uschold and Mike Stoolmiller. Without nice folks like Nancy and Mike we would not have the great skiing we have come to expect.   New pictures from anyone will be appreciated.  I really mean this.  I agonize missing some Trail Builders.

If you have not done so, please renew your membership. ALSO, there are K markers available. Your name and favorite picture can be here too.

Forestville Real Grooming Report:    BOMBI GROOMING with classic tracks on all trails from Forestville all the way to Co Rd 510!  The trail from Forestville to the Tourist Park is Ginzu Groomed.  Enjoy.

I should add, it was groomed yesterday too but my failure to properly use modern communication devices prevented me from giving an adequate report.  Life was so much easier in the olden days; the pigeon has something on its leg you have a message; READ IT!

Saux Head: Trails groomed weekly

All trails will be groomed and track set today

Fit Strip: All trails groomed and tracked Sunday of this week but the longer outer loop is still too thin to track set and is in poor shape.

Please give feed back.  I would add, people walk on the ski trails so there are foot prints.

Big Bay Pathway:  Nick and Boe were able to groom the 3 trails today. Meditation and Hidden Grin and Bear Mountain are fully groomed and in excellent condition.  Yea!!!

Big thank you to Clare DePeu for problem solving the Skandic.  It is running!

In addition we made grooming passes on the school connector but fear the drag will not fit in some of the narrow spots and will try again with the Tidd Tech.

Snow Bike Trails:

South Trails: South trails are dialed for the weekend.  With the cold dry grippy snow riding should be spectacular.

5-7 psi on single track.

3-5 psi on the panked trails.

North Trails: I expect the North trails are groomed but did not hear this morning.  Please comment if you get first hand information.

Of course you can also post your own information on the FB page and you are encouraged to do so. Here is the link:

Too Long To Read Report: The readership was evenly split on how to view the effect of the Misery Factor reporting.  Half felt I should attempt to slink out of sight much as the bad grooming report writer, Chamberlain following his famous addition to the world’s lexicon.  Of course he didn’t slink anywhere and is constantly trotted out every time one needs a punch line for a bad turn of phrase.  The other reader feels I should lean into this one and take responsibility for this turn of affairs.  In a few generations, just as Ike has slipped out of view, the Military Industrial complex lives on.  Even the great grooming report orator Winnie, with his wonderful deliveries, the phrase Iron Curtain will long out live his name.  Regardless that, I just hope the collective world comes to its senses.  Get three or more winter sports and it is a short season; embrace the cold.  Please!

See you out there.

Sondo
