2019 February 11, Grooming Report;
Today’s report is brought to you by Vicki and Tom Asmus. Without nice folks like the Vicki and Tom we would not have the great skiing we have come to expect. New pictures from anyone will be appreciated. I really mean this. I agonize missing some Trail Builders.
If you have not done so, please renew your membership. ALSO, there are K markers available. Your name and favorite picture can be here too.If you have not done so, please renew your membership. ALSO, there are K markers available. Your name and favorite picture can be here too.

Forestville Real Grooming Report: Andy is spending the day cutting branches and trees from the ice and snow events of the past week. Light traffic has trails in great shape according to no less a luminary than Tom.

Saux Head: All trails were groomed and track set Saturday. Expect fabulous skiing at Saux Head today.
Fit Strip: Trails groomed and lights working. According to Jenna it was excellent Friday.
Big Bay Pathway: Congratulation to all involved in this year’s Honey Bear Classic. Trails will be in excellent shape again today.
Snow Bike Trails:
South Trails: West of Highway 553 is still a little soft but east is in very good shape. Continued cold temps will have trails very nice.
Caution…..wear goggles or some sort of eye protection as there are still low hanging branches.
North Trails: Yesterday Roxin reported North Trails Collinsville- Silver Lead-Blue Heron, Penstock-The Pines loop had been groomed again Saturday (third pass since the storm). I erroneously reported it was Mike and I had it listed under the South Trails. I do apologize for this blunder on so many levels. I will attempt to up my game. In any case, Roxin went on to say Rambling Man and Wild Cat were also double pass-groomed thanks to Lyle Vanderschaaf. For riders recommend tire pressure 3-4 psi. Sinking tires please lower pressure. Continued cold temperatures will have trails in excellent shape.

Of course you can also post your own information on the FB page and you are encouraged to do so. Here is the link:

Too Long To Read Report:
I am reminded of the great Far Side cartoon. A man is holding another man by the back of his neck pushing his face into a sand trap next to a golf ball and says, “bad golfer, bad golfer… now look what you’ve done!”. A third golfer is on the green and says, “No, no, no. That will never work… you’ve got to catch him in the act.”.
I ignored the fact that right in our back yard, Al Quaal is a homologated system. Of course they also get big events as a result. Of course, so too is it fabulous skiing. I normally keep up on such things and the list is on the FIS web site. I greatly apologize for this error on many levels. First, and most importantly, I want people to know how great they skiing is at Al Quaal. I do hope all involved will forgive my sloppy oversight. I kid about a great many things but I am very serious here. Regardless that, we should have more such rated trails.
