Forestville Real Grooming Report: Ken is planning to Ginzu the Noque, Animoosh and Chiwagi via the by pass this morning. The overnight snow is only 2” in town but likely more at the trail head. The snow is quite high in water content so Ken may need to roll if it is too heavy to groom.

Too Long Grooming Report: So I (finally) got to the trailhead yesterday and it was not unlike our hero’s return from Ithaca only I was away so long that even Argus didn’t remember me. After my ski I noticed the light sign below. Had I known I was three behind Vickie’s 4 trips I would have chosen to be late for my other To-Do items and made the turn at 510 rather than 22k. I should add, all skiers to 510 yesterday should have an asterisk as none went out via Bagwagi or back via Chiwagi hills. I made first tracks on both and started at 1:30 PM! If the hills are open and you don’t ski them your trip to 510 is tainted to be sure.
Saux Head: Tim completed the grooming and track set yesterday. Great skiing condition.
CAUTION: The Plunge is not being groomed for the rest of the season; due to the recent snowfall there is now a dangerous low clearance under a large Hemlock that hangs over the upper end of that trail section. Think about that for a minute. What a snow year.
Parking is oly available at the main Trailhead at the east end of the lake.

Fit Strip: Trail groomed night of 3/4/19. 2” or so of new snow overnight so skiers will likely find new snow on trails.
Big Bay Pathway: The trails are open and groomed. Meditation, Bear Mountain and Hidden Grin are all in excellent condition! 2” or so of new snow overnight so skiers will likely find new snow on trails.
South Snow Bike Trails: East side of 553 is groomed and open (Jeep, Shirley’s, Chapel and Granite Point). Trails are firming up. Cyclists are encouraged to study their tracks and adjust tire pressure accordingly.

Foot traffic in this deep soft snow ruins it for the people paying to have groomed snow bike trails. If you know any trail walkers encourage them to use snow shoes.
Please check out the picture of the dog poop bag dispenser, the cute dog and the trail with no visible dog poop. Please consider being considerate and clean up after your K-9. Brown snow is a bummer for all.
North Trails:
Rambling Man, Silver Lead, Upper Blue Heron and The Pines were groomed and repaired on Friday, and three dead trees on The Cedars were removed. All groomed North Trails are expected to be in good riding conditions for Saturday except: portions of Upper Blue Heron and Silver Lead will likely be soft especially in warmer temperatures (take roads if unridable), and Wild Cat is not groomed and not ridable
Foot traffic please use snowshoes on Silver Lead, Collinsville and Blue Heron.
