Grooming February 3, 2020

Today’s report is brought to you Marc, Kate and Madigon Labeau:     The Labeaus are trail builder on the Noque’.  Without the support of folks like the Labeaus we would not have the excellent trails we have come to expect.  If you see them, say thanks.

Trail Builder sections are available.  Please visit www.noquetrails.org and follow the links.  You too can be feted in an up coming grooming report.

Forestville:  Andy is Bully grooming everything inside 17k this morning and Doug is Ginzu grooming to the Tourist Park and NMU Fit Zone.  Skiing should be excellent.

Way too Long Grooming Report:

I expect many of you are taking the day off following yesterday’s thrilling downhill.  With the football season ending two weeks ago following the Packer’s loss in the NFC Championship game, all eyes shifted to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Kandahar World Cup Downhill race and viewers weren’t disappointed.  Travis Ganong couldn’t repeat as winner but did place a very strong 5th on a gnarly icy course.   Now that you have slept in it is time to decide if the skis or the bike will be left to pine away the hours.  Light air, temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s and overcast skies will make for an excellent day on the trails regardless the choice.

Saux Head:  All trails were groomed and set track Tuesday, the 27th.  Yesterday’s thaw may have left the trails icy and uneven.  If you do ski please let us know what you find.

Big Bay Pathway:  The Big Bay Pathway was groomed on January 31.  Yesterday’s thaw may have left the trails icy and uneven.  If you do ski please let us know what you find.

Fit Strip:  Wednesday night the Fit Strip Lit Loop was groomed and the Outer Loop was rolled. Yesterday’s thaw may have left the trails icy and uneven.  If you do ski please let us know what you find.
