Grooming February 9, 2020
Today’s report is brought to you by U.P. Holistic Medicine: The folks at U.P. Holistic Medicine are trail builders on the Noque’. Without the support of folks like U.P. Holistic Medicine we would not have the excellent trails we have come to expect. If you see them, say thanks.
Trail Builder sections are available. Please visit www.noquetrails.org and follow the links. You too can be feted in an up coming grooming report.
Forestville: Andy Bully groomed the Noque’ and Animoosh to 17k as well as Gookookoo, Chiwagi by pass and Boozhoo.

Way too Long Grooming Report:
Yesterday was another spectacular winter sports day in this wonderland. Bright sun and light air along with a rock hard and grippy North snow bike trail made for a most enjoyable mid day ride. Note to self, next time start with hot water; rookie mistake. Today and the six day forecast look to be more of the same. It is easy to get complacent or, dare I say, bored with such monotonous perfection? I am here to tell you it is not always thus. I know the brain blocks out the unpleasant but intellectually I recall weeks and even months of icy or even rocky trails. One clicks on the NOAA link every morning in the dim hope of seeing a dusting to change things even a little. I know you have both heard me say winter sports is like making lemonade but is it not also good? These great conditions are evidence that karma is not real because I know I don’t deserve this many days of ideal winter sports. See you out there.
Saux Head: Saux Head was rolled yesterday and Tim will be track setting early this morning, Sunday.
.
Big Bay Pathway: Trails will be in great shape one day after the Honey Bear Classic. Enjoy.
Fit Strip: Neil groomed and tracked the classic loop yesterday. Last night he tilled the lit loop and will lay classic tracks this morning, Sunday.
Snow Bike South Trails:
One note, that section from under 553 up to the snowmobile trail is NOT OPEN. It will be open for the Polar Roll Race. It is not good for riding yet and it is dangerous as it crosses the snowmobile trail. Please do not ride this section.
Trails very firm, some icy spots may be under thick pines and hemlocks.
