Forestville Real Grooming Report: Groomers are out attempting to scratch the hard surface of the skate lanes after several warm days. Classic tracks are still present but only fair.
As always, your feedback is appreciated. Send in pictures and you too can get your K marker moved to the front of the line.

Saux Head: Trails were groomed yesterday and the skate lane was reported as very good yesterday once it softened up after noon. The classic tracts were fair at best and mostly icy.
Fit Strip: Trails were groomed last week and are groomed about once per week.
Big Bay Pathway: Too little snow in the woods so trails are closed. The Big Bay Trails are groomed for classic skiing and are through the rugged hills south of Big Bay. They are spectacular but need ample snow to cover the rugged terrain. We groom as weather permits so think cold and snow. Trails are just off Co Rd 550 in Big Bay.

Way Too Long Grooming Report: I want to be sure you understand the difference between the WTLGR and the TLTR report. Items in this epistle are important for one to gain better insight into your skiing experience. So, for all you (hopefully) C students in the back, don’t blurt out, “will this be on the test?”. The TLTR reports cover items that I see as important but the Grooming Report Critics Guild have deemed superfluous to anything even remotely connected to ski conditions. So, with that being said, skiing the past week has been marvelous. Sure the down hills have even the alpine racers stemming and the classic tracks are best for no wax because the klister picks up too much debris. However, I ski the down hills just so I can ski the up hills and they are all great with rock solid pole plants and wide smooth snow to skate up. Sure klister is a pain but really only on the first day after a new snow ends the klister run. I am reminded of putting my bike in the back of the car one day when a family member commented I should watch out for the carpet. To which I said, “A little carpet fuzz in my sprocket won’t hurt anything. So, just tell her/him, that leather won’t hurt the klister. See you out there.
