I am anxious to see the first wood pecker hit the suet and get his/her red head covered.

Forestville:  Four to six inches of new snow fell overnight.  Andy is out with the ‘Bully on Animoosh, Noque to 17, Chiwagi by pass, Boozoohoo and Zhing.  He will groom everything tonight.

Fit Strip:  New snow will be groomed asap but no word by press time.

Big Bay Pathway:    New snow will be groomed asap but no word by press time.

Saux Head: New snow will be groomed asap but no word by press time.

Snow Bike Trails:

NORTH TRAILS

Last Groomed:  1/ New snow will be groomed asap but no word by press time.

Caution Areas: Runoff from the penstock is collecting on the trail in 2 areas of BLP Rocks- in the ‘ice cave’ area under the penstock and further upstream, near the crossing across the river-  leaving icy sections of trail that require care.  Trail users can throw some sand found in the garbage can under the penstock on the ice to improve traction.  Those without studded tires or boot crampons should use caution.

South Trails Grooming:  New snow will be groomed asap but no word by press time.

WTLGR:  So, there are two ways to blow off the driveway.  The first kind look at the wind direction before beginning. They gas up the machine and pull the starter cord.  Then they blow the snow down wind first and next to the side.  After the machine does its job they clean up the spoils with a scraper shovel.  The other kind just blow it off and go skiing.  Which kind are you?  I’ll be skiing.
