Forestville: All trails from Forestville to the second gate west of Co Rd 510 are ‘Bully groomed. This is a special day. Skiing will be spectacular. Enjoy
Fit Strip: I expect the fit strip has been groomed since yesterday’s snow event but no world by press time. Any skis on the snow information will be appreciated.
Big Bay Pathway: The Big Bay Pathway is freshly groomed and in excellent condition.
Mrditation and Hidden Grin were both rolled, groomed and tracked. Wonderful to have fresh snow.
Please thank Dennis and Nick for grooming today
Saux Head: Craig rolled yesterday and Tim is grooming and track setting today. Saux Head will be in excellent shape today.
Snow Bike Trails:
NORTH TRAILS
Last Groomed: I expect trails have been groomed since yesterday’s snow event but no word by press time. Any tires on the snow information will be appreciated.
Caution Areas: Runoff from the penstock is collecting on the trail in 2 areas of BLP Rocks- in the ‘ice cave’ area under the penstock and further upstream, near the crossing across the river- leaving icy sections of trail that require care. Trail users can throw some sand found in the garbage can under the penstock on the ice to improve traction. Those without studded tires or boot crampons should use caution.
South Trails Grooming: Iexpect trails have been groomed since yesterday’s snow event but no word by press time. Any tires on the snow information will be appreciated.
WTLGR: Did you see the surfers out yesterday? Glassy and chest high; it looked great. Now, I never believed that business about God not wanting humans to fly more than five abreast. You young people may not remember but for over half a century that was the limit. I think the involvement of a deity was started by Boeing short sellers on the eve of 747s. So too with surfing in February’s single digit weather. We were given seven mill booties for a reason. I know if you have an itch and all that but I’m glad I like to ski and snow bike. Trails would have to be in fairly poor shape before this wimp would get in the line up today. In any case, see you out there, somewhere.
