Grooming January 29, 2020

Today’s report is brought to you by the Stahl Family:     The Stahls  are trail builder sponsors on the Noque’.  Without the support of folks like the Stahls we would not have the excellent trails we have come to expect.  If you see them, say thanks.

Trail Builder sections are available.  Please visit www.noquetrails.org and follow the links.  You too can be feted in an up coming grooming report.

Forestville:  This morning Andy is grooming all trails inside 14k with the Bully and afternoon Doug will Ginzu to the Tourist Park and NMU.  All trails will be in excellent shape with light traffic and pleasant temperatures.

Way too Long Grooming Report:

I tested my “spring bike butt” this morning and decided to go skiing. It will be South Trails on the bike tomorrow.

Saux Head:  All trails were groomed and set track yesterday, the 27th. Some sections of classic track are thin.  Skiing will be excellent today.

Big Bay Pathway:  Big Bay Pathway is groomed weekly or as needed. If you ski Big Bay please let us know the conditions and we will pass on your comments.

Fit Strip:  Fit Strip is groomed weekly. If you ski the Fit Strip please let us know the conditions and we will pass on your comments.

Snow Bike South Trails: First off, thank you to everyone for being patient while our south groomer was busy with Noquemanon events all weekend.

Rider traffic set up the center of the trails pretty firm, but we still needed to smash down the edges. First touches we’re done overnight, most trails should be pretty good today. We will hit it again tonight, and should be firm after that.

Most trails will ride well at 3-5psi, with enchantment, oak hill and west grey being a little softer.

Main (West) – semi-firm

Greywalls – semi-firm

Har-Lang (BG Connector) – mostly firm

Mt Mqt (East) – mostly firm

Enchantment – semi-soft

Old Camp Ridge – closed, trees

Oak Hill – soft

PPP – snowshoed

Seppi – snowshoed

Bob’s Sled – closed, trees

Eh Line – closed, trees

Shirley’s – closed, high water

IOHT to South Beach – plowed, chunky

Snow Bike North Trails: As of Tuesday night all North Trails in the system are rideable and firm. Riding will be great today.  After a few inches of snow every few days the trails in excellent shape.

THE FORESTVILLE TRAIL HEAD CHALET IS OPEN! Chalet hours are 7 AM to 10 PM and rental equipment is available between 10 and 4.  Space is still limited during construction but come in and enjoy the fire and company.
