Forestville Trails:

Thin snow cover has the equipment in the garage today.  New snow is in the forecast so this looks short lived.  The trail west of the powerline has better coverage.  Under the powerlines is especially poor because the surface has many small rocks embedded in the base. West of 17k the coverage is quite good but watch out for a few exposed rocks on the major down hills at 22k and 20k.  The Co Rd 510 trail head will give the best skiing but there are no classic tracks.

Way Too Long Grooming Report:  The plan is to get in some early Christmas shopping today.  I may not even get out skiing today.

Saux Head Trails:  I expect a mix of ice and bare spots until more snow.

Fit Strip:  I expect a mix of ice and bare spots until more snow.

Snow Bike “North Trails”  I expect a mix of ice and bare spots until more snow.

Snow Bike “South Trails”   Monday Cary reported South trail Biking was excellent where the snowbike trail has been previously groomed by a snowmobile prior to the thaw. Studs are highly recommended as it is icy, but riding is very good. Cary has ridden every trail doing tree clearing and can recommend snow biking as a good activity this week.

See you out there,

Sondo
