Grooming February 18, 2020

Today’s report is brought to you by Cherry Creek Construction:  The nice folks at Cherry Creek Construction are Double Black Diamond sponsors on the Single Track Trails.  Without the support of folks like Cherry Creek Construction we would not have the excellent trails we have come to expect.  If you see them, say thanks.

Trail Builder sections and Snow Bike trail sections are available.  Please visit www.noquetrails.org and follow the links.  You too can be feted in an up coming grooming report.

Way too Long Grooming Report:

Ok, so I didn’t get out biking or skiing yesterday.  On the up side, I got some of my fall projects done.  I know, I suppose you got yours done weeks ago. I expect there is a good reason GEFN didn’t get into most lists of useful phrases.  You know, like, “A stitch in time…” or even, “A bad excuse is better than none.”.  No, its more like STRESS (Stuff To Remember Every Single Second).  My dad taught me GEFN decades ago and I expect it is at the root of my troubles.  If it is Good Enough For Now, it is maybe not good enough.

Saux Head:  Tim plans to pack and groom today following last night’s snow.

Big Bay Pathway:  Denis groomed Monday.  Overnight snow will have fallen so if you do ski Big Bay please let us know how you found the trails.

Fit Strip:  Neil last reported grooming  last Sunday.  If you do ski the Fit Strip please let us know what you found.

Snow bike trails format comments:

Comments below show how we found the trails when last ridden.  Snow last night, Monday the 17th, will have added an inch or two of new snow.  I expect this will improve the trails in that lower areas that have become slick will be more grippy.  However, the higher elevations in open areas may be drifted over.  Let us know what you find.
