Check out the first major climb on Bagwagi yesterday: If you can imagine, at 10 AM I laid down first tracks on the best trail in the system.  Amy wrote yesterday that she is a Wagi convert.  “It is like I discovered a whole new trail system” she says.  It was fabulous yesterday.

Way too Long Grooming Report:

There are a lot of things I don’t understand.  Take small particle physics.  I don’t understand how electromagnetism functions.  I mean, it can be observed; even measured.  But, how electromagnetism interacts with the strong and weak atomic force to make it all work is a mystery to me.  After all, Heisenberg didn’t even understand the principal that made his, a household name.  About the principal, Einstein once famously quipped, “God does not play dice…”. Yet, in the end, he could not argue with the measurements.  I know Schrödinger’s cat is both alive and dead, but I don’t understand it.  So, when I arrived at the Chiwagi intersection with two highly ambulatory skiers, I was already negotiating my soul to hang with them for a while; after all, the Chiwagi hills are just ahead.  And then they were gone.  If you can imagine, they turned right.  I had never thought of such a thing.  I know it happens; you can see the evidence; ski tracks turning right.  But, just like the relationship between energy, matter and the speed of light squared, I don’t understand it.

Saux Head:  John and Tim packed and rolled the Race Loop, the Back Side Inner Loop and the Peep O Day today, the 14th.  The Wilson Creek section was not touched due to insufficient base conditions.

Tim will groom and set track today about 10:30 on the three loops after he does his Senior shopping tomorrow morning.
