Way too Long Grooming Report:
Of course the school kids feel cheated. Imagine, a week day and everything and no school closure! Its even worse than a weekend snow storm. All my life I wanted to have my office close for a snow day but it only happened once. I remember a lifetime ago living in Minneapolis. New to the area I was impressed by their efficient snow plows. It was a great storm with 12” new and drifts but I had no problem getting to work. Pulling into the parking lot I was able to park right next to the door. Always an early riser but typically someone would beat me to the punch. I was into my second cup of coffee and getting lots done given the dearth of interruptions; not even any outside calls. Finally, my boss walked in and said, “What are you doing here?”. I thought it was an odd question so I asked, why? Then he said I should go home, the office is closed; again, I asked, “why?”. Silly me. Some parts of the world see things differently. Enjoy, regardless your real or imagined cancelations.
