Grooming March 13, 2021

Today’s report is brought to you by Debi, Kirby, Olivia and Drew Juntila.  The Juntilas are Trail  Builders.  Their significant financial contribution helps NTN bring you Great skiing, biking, hiking and the silent sports world we have come to enjoy.  If you see them, please say thanks.  Grooming and grooming reports are brought to you for your skiing, biking and literary(?) enjoyment.  If you enjoy what we do, please consider a financial contribution to support the cause.

Forestville:  NTN sent the following email last night:  There was no grooming last night  with temps staying cold on Friday.  Saturday temps are expected to hit 50 and will further deteriorate conditions resulting in the end of grooming for the season. The FV Chalet will be closed after Sunday…unless of course we get a late season snowstorm…

We thank everyone for their membership support, daily donations, and sponsorships. Trails don’t happen without your support. Although snow base was minimal all season, our groomers provided many days of great trail conditions. We hope you enjoyed some wonderful ski, ride, run, or snowshoe days and if you did, please consider an end of winter donation to the trails. www.noquetrails.org/donate-2

Fit Strip: Continued vary warm temperatures the last few days have taken a toll on the base.  Skiing may be over. Let us know if you have any first hand information.

Big Bay Pathway:  Continued vary warm temperatures the last few days have taken a toll on the base.  Skiing may be over. Let us know if you have any first hand information.

Saux Head:  Continued vary warm temperatures the last few days have taken a toll on the base.  Skiing may be over. Let us know if you have any first hand information.

Snow Bike Trails:

NORTH TRAILS

I am sure some areas have good snow coverage in higher elevations.  Low areas are expected to be bare ground.  Let us know what you find.

South Trails Grooming:  I expect variable conditions similar to the comments above on the North Trails.

Way Too Long Grooming Report

I was asked to use my skills as haruspex to calculate the ideal Goldie Locks zone for today. With rapidly climbing temperatures and full sun, the ideal start time for your last(?) run to 510 is calculated to be 9:30 AM.   With regard to our actually divination practice, we use carromancy.  Synthetic entrails have always given questionable results.   Since the fifth century, grooming report writers have avoided sending wax shavings into the dust bin being concerned with recycling.  I saw one story on the early practice that suggested it was candle wax if you can imagine.

See you out there.
