Grooming January 7 2022

Forestville:  Last night Andy Bully groomed and track set from the Trail Head at Forestville to 17k and all other trails inside 17k! Yesterday Andy Bully groomed and track set from the ponds all the way to Co Rd 510 but snow yesterday will have fallen on this section of trail.  Let us know what you find.  I expect you will find 2” of fluffy snow so skiing may be quite nice.

Way too Long Grooming Report:

Ok, quick, what is a French word that (some people say) means, “can’t telemark turn”.  I don’t care what skis or snow shoes you pull out of the quiver, I trust you leave any beauty resting for when you are living in the home. Today will be special.

Saux Head:  Craig rolled the trail system yesterday and this morning. Depending on the lake effect today, he may have rolled again yesterday afternoon.  We have a really good deep base now. Tim plans to groom and set track this morning.

.

Big Bay Pathway:  Groomers will get out ASAP

Fit Strip:  Niel groomed and track set all trails yesterday.  They plan to groom again today.  There is a good base now so skiing will be good for the rest of the year.

Snow Bike South Trails:

I know Rubin is out but don’t know what trails were groomed.  Expect soft trails.  Use low tire pressure please.

Snow Bike North Trails:

Groomers were out all day on the North Trails working to pack down the 8-18” of fresh powder from the previous 2 days.  All the trails except Mildcat were groomed, and it was a slog! Drifts were waist deep on power line sections. Expect very soft trail conditions on Friday, as the groomers will be out again starting first thing trying to get the base into shape.  Use very low tire pressure please.
